Hello, I'm Jessie!
I've been drawing and painting realistically for over a decade and am the proud receiver of two awards.
When starting out, it felt like I had no idea what I was doing, I was full of with self doubt and struggled to prioritise making the art I wanted to. Through lots of practice (and not giving up) I gradually improved, and so did my confidence.

Now, I want to share with you what I've learnt so you can enjoy creating botanical art too!My course's aim is to provide the most helpful and encouraging environment, so you can feel supported and inspired to create the art you want to - all while enjoying nature's beautiful subjects!!
I've had the privilege of sharing my knowledge with hundreds of aspiring artists, both in person and online.

I have absolutely zero art experience, will I be able to do it?
Everyone has to start somewhere, so yes you absolutely can! You'll be shown everything, step by step, that you need to know to start, plus I'll be there for additional support. Just remember to be kind on yourself, allow yourself to make mistakes and don't expect masterpieces first go. Your confidence and skills will grow each time you practice.
I have some experience already, will I get much out of this foundations course?
It never hurts to revisit to the foundations, especially if there's still some things you feel like you don't quite understand. I also find that I learn something different in every subject, so if you haven't painted these subjects then yes, you'll still get a lot out of it.
What if I can't keep up with the 10 Week timeline?
I understand everyone learns at different paces and that, sometimes, life gets in the way. If you fall behind, just try to catch up as best you can. If you are still behind at the end of the 10 weeks I have continuation options.
I'm nervous to share my work, do I have to?
I absolutely understand this, it can be nerve racking sharing your work, but I promise you that the more you do it, the easier it gets! Only share what you feel comfortable sharing.
How long do I have access to the learning videos?
You'll have access to the video content for 12 months (from your course start date). Access to the support - Live Zoom Session, Online Community and Email Feedback - is only for during the 10 weeks. So you can go back and revisit the videos afterwards.
Can I use my cheap art materials?
The quality of your art materials does have an impact on the quality of the result, however, just get whatever is in your budget - the most important thing is that you're doing the work and practicing!
