Watercolour Techniques Workshop
Saturday 29th May 10am-1:30pm
Where: 410A Station Street, Thornbury 3071.
This workshop focuses specifically on watercolour techniques used in botanical art, with minimal or no drawing involved. It is a great introduction to watercolour for beginners and those who would like further experience and tips.
You will gain an understanding in:
- Basic colour theory
- Mixing colours with watercolour
- Watercolour techniques including layering, wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush and lifting off colour
- When to use each technique and how wet to be working
- How to avoid muddy colours and not over-work the paper
This workshop welcomes students of all experience levels. You will return home with a page of techniques painted by yourself and a watercolour painting of your own creative expression as well as the knowledge and confidence to continue painting.
All art materials provided as well as tea, coffee and light snacks. Just bring yourself!

If you need to withdraw from a private lesson or workshop, 7 days notice is required prior to the class for a full refund, minus booking fees.
Less than 7 days notice entitles a 50% refund only.
