Online - Beg/Intermediate - Tuesday Mornings
Book before March 6th for Early Bird Discount!
Every Tuesday for 8 weeks
23 May - 11 June
Where: on Zoom
Please note these classes are a beginner/intermediate level. They are aimed at students who have attended one of my classes or workshops in the past or to those with just a little drawing or painting experience - you don't need a lot of experience to attend, just a little will help!
Held on Zoom to a maximum of 10 students, these are an encouraging and friendly environment to continue building your confidence and develop your skills in botanical art. Jessie will guide you through each drawing and painting with her approachable step-by-step process and you will have access to the demonstrations outside of the Zoom class time!
Over the seven weeks, we will create a tonal drawing and a watercolour painting of two subjects, starting with an oak leaf and acorn!
What we cover:
- How to draw your subject accurately
- How to create a realistic tonal drawing
- Matching and mixing the correct colour
- How to achieve thin lea veins with masking fluid
- Watercolour techniques including wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brush
- How to paint a realistic painting with watercolour
- How to prevent a muddy or overworked painting
Students are to provide their own materials for the term. The class info and material list document is downloadable in your confirmation email after booking in.
Jessie’s classes offer the combination of pre-recorded video instructions as well as live demonstrations for when answering questions in class. If you miss a class, these pre-recorded videos will be available after that lesson so you can catch up ahead of the next class. The first 15 minutes of each class will be devoted to feedback and question time.
If you have any questions about the term or would prefer to pay via bank transfer please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
