This 4 week course is for students who have attended one of my classes or workshops in the past or to those with some drawing or painting experience.
 
With a maximum of 7 students, this small class is an encouraging and friendly environment to continue building your confidence and develop your skills in botanical art. Jessie will guide you through each drawing and painting with her approachable step-by-step process.
 
Over the four weeks, we will create a tonal drawing and a watercolour painting of an oak leaf and acorn.
 
What we cover:
How to draw your subject accurately
How to create a realistic tonal drawing
Matching and mixing the correct colour
Using masking fluid to achieve thin veins
Watercolour techniques including wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brush
How to paint a realistic painting with watercolour
How to prevent a muddy or overworked painting
 
Please bring your own materials. Material list will be emailed to you once booking in. Snacks and tea provided! Back Alley Bakes is just around the corner if you wish to buy coffee before or after the class.
